Happy birthday to Phil and Louise!
12:42 p.m. on 2004-06-01

It was Louise and Phil's bday at the weekend.

Yup, I'm finally talking about real life again!

Yesh, so anyway, they were both 22. Had a joint birthday party, which actually turned out to be more fun that I thought it was going to be. We had three games at the bowling alley, during which I successfully made an ass out of myself (by hitting myself in the leg with the bleedin' ball when I pulled my arm back), Phil got about a hundred strikes in a row (well, alright, about five), there was much bickering about whether boys or girls were better at this sort of thing.... yeah, it was fun!

Then off to a local Italian for a meal. Two highlights to this. First, when Hayley discovered a whole baby octupus in her pasta ("Are you gonna eat it?" "No. But I might take it home and play with it."). Then when the waiters put on a 'Happy Birthday' record and brought out cakes and sparklers for the birthday pair. Aw...

Yeah, so we're twenty two, and three of our party are about to get married (well, okay, two of them to each other but still), and move out, and be all sensible and grown up... but hell, we're still gonna have sparklers in our birthday cakes!

And Phil will still make paper aeroplanes at the table and thow them across the restaurant.

Boys...

PS: Tell me I don't need Farscape Season One on DVD. Even though it's normally 100 to buy the boxset and Amazon are currently selling it for 30...
