Was checking ToRN today and found this beauty:

CLICKIE

Hee! Three Gandalfs!

*warbles* "Three Gandalfs in a fountain, which one will the fountain drooowwwnnn...."

Only Goon fans know what I'm talking about now.

Meanwhile... Came back from shopping in Stockport to slob out in front of a new anime called 'Monster.' It's about a neurosurgeon who starts to fear for his own morality when he realises that the people around him place different values on life, depending on social status. And I imagine it's going to get quite creepy... but I've only seen ep1 so far.

Why can't other countries follow Japan's lead, and produce cartoons which feature adult storylines? Sure, we have Family Guy and South Park and even things like Samauri Jack and the very twisted Spawn... but there's no drama. It's all either satire, or comic books.

Cartoons are cheaper than dramas. You can allow your imagination to wander as far as the animator's pen will take you. Beautiful, haunting landscapes, characters wonderfully depicted in their subtle facial movements and the great vocal talents.

But I still have to spend hours downloading fansubs of Japanese anime, because nothing on our own screens comes close.

Quote:
Interviewer: "Stargate SG1's imminent eighth year puts it in what could be referred to as X-Files territory."
Christopher Judge: "You mean we're gonna have two years of shit?"
Michael Shanks: "Subtlety of an anvil..."

PS: One of my referrers today found me by searching Google for 'Sinclair Group Arrest'. Woah. Someone found me through NEWS. Bet they were disappointed...
