Cocktails and Ziti...
8:17 a.m. on 2004-03-14

Have woken up in a bad mood.

This possibly has to do with the dream which woke me, involving me trying to find a swimming pool in a maze of a hotel and getting shot at by a security guard for coming out of a fire exit.

Anyway, have now vented my feelings at an irritating poster on Efan (the post was up for 6 hours in what for half the world counts as the dead of night, FORGIVE US MODS FOR NOTICING SOONER!) and am now trying to calm myself...

Went to Didsbury yesterday. This is a New Thing for the Girls (well, the Girls-sans-Louise) because we don't really go to Didsbury, and I'm not sure why - it's just as easy to get to as say, Stockport, and it has a much better class of restaurant.

It was a rather Sex and the City day really - if you'll excuse the first twenty minutes spent rummaging through Cancer Research to produce a rather nice travelling type skirt for 4.50. Met Hayley at 1pm, checked out the restaurants, then selected an appropriate Italian where we both ate 'Ziti', because, as Hayley said, she wanted to know what it was when she's heard it mentioned in the Sopranos so much.

Turns out it's spicy meatballs in a tomato sauce with chillis, pasta, fettucini and rosemary on top, and an egg, all baked til it's piping hot. Very nice.

Then went to a 'trendy wine bar' for a pitcher of Long Island Ice Tea. Mm. I could get a liking for that stuff.

Mm. An entire day spent doing very little... I could get very used to this.

Listening to: Ours - "Kill the Band"

Quote: "The only thing that will bring me inner peace is a beard seeking missile."
